🧔PAPAYA🧔

I saw these on sale at my grocery store and decided to give these another shot- I tried them years ago and found the taste to be…acquired šŸ˜‹

What sparked my interest in this tropical fruit was the highly bioavailable carotene and antioxidant compounds!

šŸµPapaya contains more lycopene than a tomato

šŸµsome research shows that the carotenes from papaya is better absorbed than from other fruits

šŸµantioxidant content protects you from šŸ«€disease, high blood pressure, inflammation and even cancer!

āš«ļø eating a spoonful of the seeds once a day for a week has been a bit of a trend online as a remedy to kill parasites however not much research has been done to support if the seeds actually antiparasitic

āš«ļø the seeds are high in omega-9 fatty acids, glucosinolates, and potent antioxidant compounds

āš«ļøI tried a spoonful out of curiosity and they have a really delicious spicy peppery flavour! (I actually enjoyed it more than the fruit itself šŸ™ˆ)

āš«ļø dry the seeds and use them in place of black peppercorns!

I ended up making a smoothie containing:

šŸŒĀ¼ of a papaya

šŸŒ1 small frozen banana

šŸŒlime juice

šŸŒ ½ tsp dried ginger

šŸŒ ½ tsp lucuma powder

šŸŒĀ½ tsp maca powder

šŸŒĀ½ tsp bee pollen

šŸŒĀ½ cup vanilla kefir

šŸŒĀ¼ cup pomegranate juice
