what does a well balanced plate look like for you?

for me, it contains half a plate of veggies- preferable colorful and full of fiber 🄦 a portion of protein- in this case, it’s a wild salmon fillet 🐟 and a complex carbohydrate- quinoa! I boosted my quinoa with some frozen green peas.


did you know quinoa is not only considered a complete protein source but also has plenty of healthy fats to offer as well? 28% of its fatty acids is oleic acid, a ā¤ļø-healthy fat and about 5% comes in the form of the omega-3 fatty acid, alpha-linolenic acid! Quinoa also contains many antioxidants and flavonoids making it one of my favorite foods to incorporate into my meals šŸ’“
